“Figure Painting From Life”
with Ken Goshen

February 13- 17, 2023
9:00 am to 4:00 pm each day

This workshop will explore and demonstrate the process of painting the figure from life following in the footsteps of the Old Masters. Students will learn how to strategically break down the painting process into distinct steps that build upon each other. Each day of the workshop will be devoted to a single step, which will allow students to be fully immersed in that aspect of the work, understand each step deeply, and learn to incorporate the different steps in their own artistic practice. We will start with a linear charcoal design, then establish an atmospheric monochrom in oil, and conclude with a full color composition.
